SRINAGAR, Nov 5: To aware the people about the harmful effects of psychotropic drugs and drug addiction, a bike rally was organised here today.
The rally was organised under the leadership of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) Chief Spokesperson and In-Charge Constituency Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq.
The rally, started from Mill Stop Bagh Ali Mardar Zadibal and passed through Sheri Bhat, Alamgiri Bazar, Hawal Chowk, Badam Wari, Sangin Darwaza, Bachchi Darwaza, Generali Bagh, Khaskhash Bagh, Saida Kadal, Ashai Bagh, Hazratbal and ended at Mazar-i-Qaid Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Naseem Bagh, Hazratbal.
Speaking on the occasion, Tanvir said, “The bike rally is not a stand-alone effort but part of a series of efforts taken by the party to address the growing menace of drug addiction and its prevalence among the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier the party had constituted a committee which after exhaustive discussions with the subject matter experts in the field of medicines, and community health has submitted a report on the pressing issue.”
He also expressed gratitude to the civil and police administration for making the event successful and said that it is imperative that we unite and take a stand against this growing threat that has now reached our very doorsteps. It is time for us to awaken to reality.
Among others who participated in the rally included spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar, YNC Provincial President Salman Ali Sagar, Additional Spokesperson Sheikh Ovaise, Youth Leaders Sheikh Shahid Kitab, Waqar Khan and Block President Mushtaq Beg.
