JAMMU, Oct 16: Pacca Danga police arrested a bike lifter and recovered a stolen motorcycle from his possession.
A police spokesman said that, a complaint regarding theft of motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AN-4423 was received by Pacca Danga police.
On getting information, Pacca Danga police raised nakas and within hours recovered the stolen motorcycle, he said, adding that thief, who has been identified as Ankush Sharma alias Don, son of Anil Sharma, resident of Talab Tillo was also arrested.
A case under FIR number 176/13 and under Section 379 RPC has been registered at Pacca Danga Police Station and investigation started.
Police party led by SHO Mahesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of DSP Kulbir Handa.
