JAMMU, Nov 17: A young man from Bihar died after apparently hanging from the ceiling fan at his rented accommodation at Bakshi Nagar area here today.
Mahadev Kumar (21) son of Krityananad of Belgeshi Rani Ganj, Bihar, at present Qasim Nagar, Gurha Morh, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu, was spotted hanging from the ceiling fan at his rented room with a scarf tied around his neck, by his colleagues, officials said.
Accordingly, police was called, who shifted Kumar to Government Medical College Jammu, where doctors declared him dead on arrival, they said.
The officials said the body has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting post-mortem examination while inquest proceedings have been initiated to further probe into the matter.
