JAMMU, Jan 11: A young woman, originally from Bihar, died under mysterious circumstances here at her rented accommodation in Chinnore area of the district, officials said.
They said family members of Sanam Kumari (22) daughter of Uppinder Ram of Bihar at present Choudhary Lane, Chinnore, claimed she was spotted hanging with the help of a dupatta at her current residence and was accordingly taken to Government Medical College Jammu, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
According to them, the body of the deceased woman has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem examination, while inquest proceedings have been initiated to ascertain the exact reason behind the death of the young woman.
