MUMBAI : Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan says making his cricket commentary debut today alongside legends like Kapil Dev and Rahul Dravid was an honour for him.
The 72-year-old evergreen star, who did commentary in Hindi during the World Cup match between India and Pakistan, also shared space with the likes of Arun Lal and Shoaib Akhtar.
Bachchan took to Twitter to express his joy on his new role.
“Commentary for the India Pak match over, an honour to be in the room as legends – Kapil, Rahul, Shoaib… Predicted 300… Got it!” he tweeted.
India, who put 300 runs on the board after batting first, beat their arch-rivals by 76 runs in their first WC match in Adelaide, Australia.
“Yeeaahhhhh! India wins… My second prediction came true too .. Is it got something to do with the date 15th Feb!!” he wrote, adding that on this date 46 years ago he signed his first Bollywood film.
“15th Feb…!! Historic date for me… On this date 46 years ago in 1969, I signed my 1st film to join the Film Industry…,” he tweeted.
