JAMMU, Nov 7: The Government of India has appointed the 2011 batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer Bhupinder Kumar as the Director in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, New Delhi.
As per an order, his appointment, made under the Central Staffing Scheme following a recommendation by the Ministry of Home Affairs, will be for a period of five years from the date he assumes charge or until further orders.
He has been asked to take up his new assignment immediately after being relieved from his current duties.
Kumar has earlier served on several important positions in Jammu and Kashmir, including Principal Resident Commissioner, New Delhi, Secretary Health and Medical Education Department, and DC Doda among other roles.
