UDHAMPUR, Nov 28: Chief patron of National Panthers Party (NPP) Prof Bhim Singh has advocated for equity for the workers engaged in the hydel power projects in Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar area by different companies.
Mr Singh met several delegations of the working unions, labour unions, employees associated with JP Associates in Baglihar, Kud and other areas today. The worker unions are demanding the implementation of the agreement signed by JP Associates on the working of the project employees.
Several trade union leaders appealed Prof Singh to rescue the suffering employees, workers and others who are being shunted out by the JP Associates. The worker unions of different units have decided to fight for the rights of the workers and employees in JP Associates Groups. Prof Singh assured the struggling workers including employees and the engineers that NPP shall support the genuine demands of the workers.
NPP leader assured full support to the fighting workers and the employees in the interest of justice and rule of law. He also appealed the President of India for his urgent intervention so that justice is done to the suffering employees. Prof Singh said that thousands of employees shall take a long march from the JP Associates Groups mines on the banks of Chenab river at Ramban and walk to the Parliament of India in New Delhi.
