JAMMU, Sept 27: Series of Mahayagyas were solemnized by Management Committee Mata Bhawani Shori Asthapan Committee Chandpora Harwan at holy shrines of Khir Bhawani Tulmulla in Ganderbal district, Chakreshwar Hari Parbhat in Srinagar district, Mata Jawala Ji Temple at Khrew in Pulwama district under the chairmanship of M K Matoo head of the Committee for restoration of peace in the Valley and prosperity of the State.
The series of hawans culminated with a Mahayagya on September 25 and 26 at Mata Bhawani Shori Temple Chandpora, Harwan in Srinagar district.
The hawan started with Kalash pooja on September 25 evening and culminated with Puranahuti next day. The devotees were served prashad after puranahuti.
During the solemnizing of Mahayagyas the Vedic hymns were recited by Pt. Jai Krishan Khar a renowned scholar of Shastras. The devotees from various parts of the country including Bangalore, Delhi NCR and Jammu besides the Kashmiri Pandits and members of Hindu community putting up in Valley participated.
