Bharat Bhushan kick-start WSS Gurah Singoo worth Rs 3.85 cr

JAMMU, Oct 1: Chairman of the District Development Council (DDC) Jammu, Bharat Bhushan Bodhi today kick- started the work of Water Supply Scheme Gurah Singoo under the prestigious Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).
The project, with an estimated cost of Rs 3.85 crore, is set to transform the water supply infrastructure in the area.
The WSS Gurah Singoo includes a tubewell, a sump tank and the installation of distribution water pipes. These essential elements will significantly enhance the accessibility and reliability of clean drinking water for the residents of Gurah Singoo, Kothi Mohalla, and the adjoining areas.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Chairman underscored the Government’s unwavering commitment to providing “Har Ghar Jal Se Nal” under the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme. He emphasized that this initiative aligns with the Government’s vision to ensure access to safe and potable water for all.
The DDC Chairman also highlighted various welfare initiatives undertaken by the Government for the well-being of the general public. He reiterated the Government’s dedication to providing essential amenities to the people, thereby enhancing their overall standard of living.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including DDC Balbir Lal, BDC Surinder Kumar, Sarpanch Prem Singh Chib, as well as officials from the Jal Shakti Department, including the AEE) and JE.
Meanwhile, the DDC Chairman visited village Gari as part of the ongoing SC Basti Sampark Abhiyan. During this visit, he interacted with the beneficiaries of various Central sponsored schemes, emphasizing the Government’s commitment to the welfare of the weaker sections of society.
Bharat Bhushan highlighted the numerous schemes initiated by the Modi Government that are designed to uplift and empower marginalized communities. He underscored the Government’s unwavering focus on creating opportunities for the underprivileged and ensuring their overall development.
In addition to his interaction with the villagers and beneficiaries, Bharat Bhushan also initiated a Cleanliness Abhiyan, aligning with the nationwide Swachhta Abhiyan.
