KISHTWAR, Feb 22: The member of civil society Kishtwar and senior Congress leader S S Bhandari today expressed grave concern over denial of the roll number slips by the authorities of private institutions to Class 10th students.
In a statement issued here today Mr Bhandari said that Government had postponed annual examinations in Winter Zone and Kashmir Valley due to floods in last year up to March.
As schools were closed for three months from December due to Winter vacations the management of private institutions in Kishtwar district are denying the roll number slips to the class 10th students demanding three months fee while the schools remained closed for this period.
Bhandari has demanded immediate intervention of Education authorities into the matter. He said the students and their parents are in great distress as a matter of fact their annual academic year ended in December only and there was no logic in demanding three months fee.
He also demanded a thorough probe and action against erring institutions.
