JAMMU, Mar 19: Exhorting the party cadre to gear up for the “big challenge” being faced by the Jammu and Kashmir and work to further strengthen the Congress party at every level, JKPCC working president Raman Bhalla today said they are committed to assuage the urges and aspirations of every segment of the society in all regions and sub-regions.
Interacting with various delegations at a brief function here, Bhalla  said that in order to root out BJP from every nook and corner, the cadre must reach out to the people and help them seek redressal to their problems. He  said Congress  is a mass movement which has been devoted to the service of the people of Jammu and Kashmir for decades. The party is a natural destination for all those public-spirited political workers who want to steer Jammu and Kashmir towards peace, progress and development.
Bhalla urged the delegations to strengthen the party at the grass roots level by intensifying the mass outreach programme. He said Congress  is time tested party of J&K people, which has withstood all the challenges faced to Jammu and Kashmir over the decades and it will continue to serve the people and strive for a dignified life for them, irrespective of caste, creed, region or religion. He urged the elected representatives to rededicate themselves in rural development as the people have many expectations from the Congress.“Put your best in solving the problems of the people on the developmental front with a sense of commitment”, he said, adding the service to the people has been core of the Congress political philosophy.
Former minister said that BJP has betrayed the mandate of Jammu people and surrendered all the promises made with the people here. He said that BJP betrayed the mandate of people of Jammu by ignoring the core issues of Jammu people like employment of youth of Jammu. He said both the J&K and Central Govt have badly failed in giving employment to the youth of J&K. He appealed to Lt Governor for regularization the services of daily wagers, contractual, adhoc and Anganwari workers and expected justice during his  rule.
