RAJOURI, Sept 13: A student of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), Rajouri was today picked by Police for his suspected links with the militants.
A senior police official said that B.Tech 3rd Semester student of BGSB University, hailing from Umer Colony, Lal Bazar in Srinagar was today detained by Rajouri police and later handed over to Kashmir police this afternoon. He is said to be suspect in a militancy related case in Kashmir.
The police with held the identity of the student, claiming that it may hamper the process of investigation. Later, in the evening, some B.Tech students held protest demonstration and sat on dharna outside the office of Vice Chancellor. They said that youth was very good at studies and he was being implicated in some false case. They demanded his release.
