BGSBU implements rotation policy for administrative positions

RAJOURI, Feb 15: Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University has introduced a rotation policy for administrative positions for the first time.
This initiative aims to enhance institutional efficiency, transparency, and leadership development by allowing faculty members to take on administrative responsibilities for a fixed period of time. The policy is designed to create a dynamic and inclusive governance system while offering faculty opportunities for professional growth beyond their academic roles.
Vice Chancellor Prof Jawaid Iqbal emphasized that the introduction of the rotation policy will bring fresh perspectives and innovation to University Administration. By ensuring that leadership roles are periodically reassigned, the University aims to cultivate talent, encourage inclusivity, and maintain institutional excellence, he added.
Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza, Registrar, highlighted that this step reflects BGSBU’s commitment to academic progress and professional empowerment. The policy will provide faculty members with hands-on administrative experience, strengthening their managerial skills and fostering a collaborative work environment, he added.
Prof M J Warsi, Dean Academic Affairs, underlined the importance of this initiative in shaping well-rounded academic leaders. By engaging faculty in governance, the policy ensures equitable opportunities and promotes a culture of shared responsibility, he said.
