RAJOURI, July 14: Following overwhelming response in admissions, 9th academic session of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) is going to commence on July 16 for which all the arrangements have been finalised. Hostels have also been made ready for the new inmates.
It is pertinent to mention here that university has got tremendous response in the admissions of postgraduate teaching programmes viz Business Management, Comp-uter Scie-nces, Information Technology, Arabic, Applied Mathematics, Mathematics, Biotechnology & Bioresources and B Tech courses of Electronics and Commu-nication.
The process of admissions have also been completed in the Bachelors Degree Courses in Computer Applications (BCA), Bachelors Degree in Business Administration (BBA), BA Arabic (Hons) and Diploma courses in Electronics, Civil, Electrical and Mechanical in the University Polytechnic.
Prof Irshad Ahmed Hamal, Vice Chancellor, BGSBU, chaired a high level meeting of the Heads of Departments including Prof A K Koul, Dean Academic Affairs, Mohd Rashid Choudhary, Registrar, Prof Mohd Asger, Dean, School of Mathematical Sciences and Engineering, Prof B A Wafai, Director CBS, KK Dogra, Principal Polytechnic and Suneet Gupta, Special Secretary to Vice Chancellor, and reviewed the arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the new academic session.
The university has also adopted stringent measures to avoid any case of Ragging for which Anti- Ragging Committees and Squads have been constituted.
Prof Hamal said that all the arrangements have been finalised and all the departments are ready to initiate classes from July 16. He exhorted the teachers and other staff to work hard.
