JAMMU, Jan 29: Bhartiya Gujjar Mahasabha (BGM) has appealed to all the political parties and representatives of ST communities to raise the issues of ST communities in the upcoming budget session of Assembly.
As per statement issued by State president, Bhartiya Gujjar Mahasabha Eshfaq-Ur-Rehman Poswal has said that neither the political parties nor the representatives of the community raised the plights of ST communities in the house due to which there is a strong resentment among the community members.
He further said that the Central and State Welfare Schemes launched for uplifting the communities have so far failed to achieve their targets.
He demanded political reservation, implementation of Tribal Sub Plan in the State and separate Administrative Department for Tribal affairs.
