MENDHAR, May 26: Members of Beopar Mandal Mendhar today held protest demonstration against RDD and local administration for their failure to ensure cleanliness in the main market and Bus Stand area.
The members of the trading community came out on the road today and held strong protest against the local BDO office staff and Sub Divisional Administration. They alleged that Adda contract was finalized by the RDD staff recently for Rs 13.25 lakh and for every vehicle Adda fee is charged by the private contractor but there is no proper cleanliness in the bazaar and Bus Stand area. Heaps of garbage remain lying for weeks and no body lifts. Drains remain choked and foul smell has made life of people and traders horrible.
Despite repeated requests to the SDM, Tehsildar and BDO Mendhar, nobody takes this issue seriously and the public has been left to suffer. They warned to lock the office of BDO and SDM if the proper cleanliness is not ensured in the town. They also demanded Municipal Committee status for Mendhar town.
