DODA, Feb 6: A tourist from Bengaluru was allegedly assaulted by a group of local tourism players in Thanthera area of Bhaderwah, triggering concern over visitor safety in the region.
The injured was identified as Dinesh Kumar (43), who was travelling with two women. Among them was Sneha Pingle (31), a Mumbai resident and reportedly his business partner, who witnessed the incident.
According to Sneha pingle, Kumar was beaten during the altercation, suffering a nose injury that led to heavy bleeding. Eyewitnesses said his clothes were stained with blood, causing panic at the tourist location.
He was immediately shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Bhaderwah, where he received medical treatment. Hospital official indicated that his condition is stable.
The motive behind the assault was not immediately known.
