Beig’s comments on Modi consistent with PDP’s nexus with BJP: Wani

JAMMU, Mar 18: NC Provincial President, Nasir Aslam Wani has said that PDP leader Muzaffar Hussain Beig’s adulatory and reverential comments about BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi while speaking to a TV channel recently were consistent with his party’s covert ties with the BJP. Ahead of the coming Parliamentary elections it now seems that PDP, for a test of loyalty if push comes to shove, has been asked by Modi to make the erstwhile covert ties public.
While stating that such shyly laudatory comments about Modi have come from Mehbooba Mufti as well in the recent past, Nasir emphasized the need to ensure that PDP is defeated in its plans to trivialize the sentiments of the people of Jammu & Kashmir by joining hands with a figure as polarizing and divisive as Modi.
Nasir Aslam Wani also said that Beig’s lies on Baghliar Power Project in the same interview would be hilarious if they weren’t so ironic. The Baghliar Power Project was envisioned and launched by Dr Farooq Abdullah’s Government and appropriate long-term infrastructural and financial plans were put in place to see the project through – a fact that was realized with time. PDP has absolutely no role to play in the Baghliar Power Project. We understand PDP’s need to manufacture lies in the absence of any tangible infrastructural achievements in the power generation sector in their tenure.
