BENGALURU:  Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu today said Prime Minister Narendra Modi in consultation with Defence Minister Arun Jaitley will bring out an action plan to counter atrocities by Pakistan that led to beheading of two Indian soldiers on the Line of  Control.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a review meeting of the Urban Development Ministry here, he said it will be wrong to make a political statement in this situation though it had been proved beyond doubt that Pakistan was a ‘rouge State’.

”The Pakistan problem is not new. Pakistan is proving to be a really rogue state. We want good relationship with Pakistan as it is our neighbour.

But it is not acting accordingly. Crossing the border mutilating the (bodies) jawans. It is brutal and has to be condemned. International community also should condemn it,”he added.

The Indian Government will take an appropriate action and security of the country will be taken care of, he assured.

On the situation in Kashmir, he said everyone knew who was waging a proxy war in the troubled state. ”Everyone know who is waging, funding, harbouring and training the terrorists. The government is doing everything to solve the problem politically working with the State government (of Kashmir).

To a question that after PDP-BJP government came to power violence escalated, Mr Naidu said giving political colour to Kashmir problem was not good.

”There had been different coalition governments and what was the situation before and after. In Kashmir National Conference and Congress had ruled earlier. Congress and PDP had also taken to power later and now BJP and PDP government is in the rule.

Democracy has to be maintained and it is important. Making political statement is not good in the interest of the country,” he  said.
