JAMMU, July 2: Members of Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) today took up the matter with regard to the problems being faced by industrialists in view of increasing power crisis for the last two weeks in Bari Brahmana industrial area with the PDD authorities.
A delegation of Bari Brahmana Industries Association led by its president Lalit Mahajan, met the Chief Engineer, PDD M&RE, Ashwani Gupta today and discussed the deteriorating power supply in last 15 days in SIDCO Industrial Complex, Bari Brahmana, Jammu.
During discussions, Mr Mahajan strongly flayed the working of Power Development Department where nobody is accountable for repeated power failures in the Industrial area for the power supply being fed through 50X2 MW Grid Station & BB-I Receiving Station. They alleged that the receiving stations are in shamble due to non availability of spares, damaged panels and it will take hours to restore the Power supply in case of any break down in the system.
Further, he raised serious concern about the frequent tripping of power supply from the 50X2MVA Grid Station and BBI receiving Station in Bari Brahmana Industrial Complex due to which the unit holders are facing losses.
The issue regarding the non- commissioning of new 33KV line which was already installed in the complex long back and lying un used due to non-availability of Bay also came under discussion.
Chief Engineer assured the delegation to resolve the issues raised by the Association and issued necessary instructions to the concerned officials in this regard to ensure uninterrupted power supply to Industrial sector of Bari Brahmana.
The meeting was also attended by Rahul Bansal senior vice president BBIA, . Varun Singla vice president BBIA, Ajay Langer general secretary BBIA, Executive Engineer, M&RE Division-II, Executive Engineer STD Division-II and other officials of the Power Development Department.
