BBIA submits memorandum to Union MSME Minister

JAMMU, Sept 17: Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA), submitted a memorandum to the Union Minister for Micro Small & Medium Enterprises Govt of India, Narayan Rane in presence of MP Jugal Kishore Sharma and Divisional Commissioner Jammu Dr Raghav Langer on their visit to district Samba.
Kashav Dutt Chairperson, District Development Council, Samba; Deputy Commissioner, Anuradha Gupta, Director Industries Anoo Malhotra, Smita Sethi, Managing Director, J&K SIDCO besides other officers were also present on the occasion.
While welcoming Union Minister, Lalit Mahajan, president of BBIA conveyed him thanks to the PM Modi on behalf of Industry, for grant of Fiscal Incentives of Rs 28,400 crores for the Industrial Sector of J&K.
A delegation of office bearers and members of Bari Brahmana Industries Association under the leadership of Mahajan, highlighted the various issues related to the Industrial Sector for the consideration of Narayan Rane which include extension of 300% reimbursement of Gross GST to the existing MSME Units at par with Govt of Industrial Development Scheme 2021, relief to existing MSME Industrial Sector of J&K during COVID-19 current situation, Compulsory Purchase by Central Govt /Union Territory of J&K Departments, Reimbursement of Road Freight for the dispatch of Industrial Goods to Domestic Market as well as for export from Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, non availability of non-Agriculture land for Industrial purpose to outside investors, establishment of Export Promotion Industrial Parks/ Special Economic Zone’s (SEZ’s) in Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir & Establishment of Mini Tool Room.
It is pertinent to mention here that the 63 million units of MSME Sector of our Country working under the able leadership of Union Minister and contributing 30% of the GDP and providing employment to approx. 100 million people making it the largest source of employment after the Agriculture Sector.
Lalit Mahajan presented a memento to the minister. The Union Minister for Micro Small & Medium Enterprises Govt of India, Narayan Tatu Rane assured the delegation to resolve the issues related to the Industrial Sector as early as possible for speedy Industrial growth in our State which will provide employment to local unemployed youths of the State.
