BBIA delegation projects issues before Ram Madhav

JAMMU, Oct 3: A delegation of Bari Brahmana Industries Association led by its president Lalit Mahajan along with other office bearers took up the issues of Jammu Industrialists with the BJP National general secretary, Ram Madhav here today.
BBIA president accompanied by Tarun Singla senior vice president, Viraaj Malhotra – general secretary presented a memorandum to Ram Madhav, in presence of Vikram Randhawa, Ramesh Arora both MLCs and Dr Narinder Singh, State BJP general secretary.
The BBIA members drew the attention of Ram Madhav towards the need of providing Fiscal incentives in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to new as well as existing working units to provide support to the unit holders who are working since long in spite of all the odds since last 30 years and providing direct and indirect employment to around four to five Lakhs of people of the State as the Industrial Sector is surviving in our State on the basis of Fiscal incentives given to existing industry by State/Central Govt from time to time for their survival keeping in mind the hilly terrain, limited market within the State, surrounded by hostile Neighbours like China & Pakistan and other related factors.
During discussion, Mahajan also highlighted various issues related to the Industrial Sector and requested for the extension of Fiscal incentives for the revival of existing units & Fresh investment in Industrial Sector in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir which will provide employment to local youths. The main issues of memorandum, included- Central Package of fiscal incentives, DIPP Central Package of Incentives should be extended for next 20 years without linking of Incentives on investment on Plant & Machinery, Present Interest Subvention Scheme of 3% shall be enhanced to 5% for term loan/working capital to all the existing units, units under substantial expansion and New Units, Income Tax Exemption to all the existing units, Units under substantial expansion and New Units, transport subsidy by road on the Incoming of Raw materials & dispatch of finished goods up to destination to encourage of Interstate Sale. It also demanded continuation of Toll Tax at Lakhanpur, reimbursement of 100% CGST/SGST to existing units, 5% reimbursement on the Intra-state sale value of goods to existing units. The Association also demanded free hold rights of allotted Industrial land by SIDCO/SICOP to all the existing industrial units.
