RAJOURI, Jan 20: To inquire about the health condition of Azeem Akhtar, a 45-year-old woman, who was found tied up in a plastic bag in the Tandwal area of Rajouri district in a shocking and inhuman incident, a team of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP), led by Mamta Dutt, BJP vice president Rajouri, visited the Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital, here today.
The team expressed deep concern over her critical health status and extended moral support to the victim and her family during this extremely difficult time.
Speaking on the occasion, Mamta Dutt strongly condemned the heinous and barbaric act, stating that such incidents are a blot on society and cannot be tolerated under any circumstances.
“We are deeply concerned about Azeem Akhtar’s condition and strongly condemn the brutal act that led to her hospitalization. This is not just an attack on one woman, but an attack on humanity. We demand a thorough, impartial and time-bound investigation, and the perpetrators must be brought to justice at the earliest,” she said.
Dutt assured that the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative will extend all possible support to Azeem Akhtar and her family, including coordination with the administration to ensure proper treatment, security and legal assistance.
She emphasized that the safety, dignity and rights of women remain a top priority and that strict action against criminals is essential to restore public confidence.
