Bawa Bhair Mela concludes

JAMMU, Nov 6: Two day annual Kartik Purnima Bawa Bhair Mela concluded here today at Bawa Bhair Devsthan in Nagrota.
A large number of devotees from Jammu and neighbouring States visited the shrine on this occasion to pay obeisance and seek blessings of the deity.
Among prominent attendees were former DC B.S Jamwal, senior BJP leader and Tawi Andolan president, Chander Mohan Sharma, Trust president Balwant Singh, general secretary, Ramesh Sharma, Advisor P.C Sharma, NMC president, Subash Shastri, Ritiz Khajuria, Girdhari Lal, Kirpal Singh, Om Parkash, Advocate Anchit Sharma, Subash Sharma and representatives of various social and religious organizations.
The Mela included with a Hawan by Pandit Ved Parkash Sharma along with Chela Joginder Singh, who chanted Vedic hymns.
Various social organizations have organized Langars to serve the visiting devotees on this occasion.
One of the significant rituals of the Mela was the ceremonial Yatra performed by Bawa Ji’s Chela at the banks of Tawi River.
Some devotees informed that there was poor drinking water facility at the shrine and condition of the road leading to the shrine was also very poor.
In a handout, Bawa Bhair Devsthan Trust general secretary, Ramesh Sharma thanked Army Station Commander Headquarter Nagrota, local administration, Police Station Nagrota and others for successfully conclusion of the Mela.
