JAMMU, Dec 30: Printers should work hard to achieve their goals and also go for ‘Make in India’, said Shyamal Chander Basu, President, All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP).
He stated this during a function organized by J&K Offset Printers Association here.
At the outset Sudesh Gupta, Senior Vice President, J&K Offset Printers’ Association (JKOPA), presented the welcome address.
General Secretary of J&K Offset Printers’ Association Girish Kapoor highlighted the activities of the Association besides listing the problems being faced by the printers of Jammu and Kashmir. He apprised about lack of skilled labour in printing industry which is not available in vocational courses in educational institutions.
He also highlighted power problems as some printers are charged commercial rates and some are charged industrial rates. He also enlightened the audience about various activities of association like welfare funds, conducting seminars, etc.
President Arun K Gupta presented Award of Honour to Shyamal Chander Basu, President AIFMP. Kamal Chopra, Vice-President (North), Prakash T Jagtap, Vice-President (West), S Manickam, Vice-President (South), Sunil Garg, General Secretary, C Prakash Babu, Hony Joint Secretary, Subash Chander, Past President were also honoured with mementos. Rahul Mahajan and Rakesh Mehta felicitated the president and office bearers of AIFMP.
Kamal Chopra, Vice-President (North) spoke on this occasion and highlighted the problems faced by printers of India. He also mentioned in his speech that printers should do something different in printing.
On the occasion, General Secretary, AIFMP Sunil Garg, Past President Subash Chander and Vice President (West) Prakash T Jagtap also expressed their views.
President Shyamal Chander Basu, office bearers of AIFMP, Immediate Past President JKOPA, Pankaj Sethi, Past President JKOPA, Ravi Gupta and President JKOPA, Arun K Gupta also released the Calendar 2016 of J&K Offset Printers’ Association.
Vipen Mahajan, Vice-President and Avinash Gupta, Joint Secretary of JKOPA, Executive members Satish Jandiyal, Harjinder Singh, Sharat Sharma, Kuku Ji Bhan, Goutam Mehta and all member of JKOPA were also present.
Huber Group also gave their presentation.
Sanjay Soni acted as stage secretary along with Gourav Gupta, Secretary JKOPA and conducted the proceedings of the function.
In the end, Avnish Anand, Finance Secretary JKOPA presented vote of thanks.
