UDHAMPUR, Jan 10: Aggrieved over no electricity for the last 10 days, villagers of Loudhra, Kadwa, Raichak, Khaned, Ponara, Thlli, Saddal, Kalya Koat and adjoining area in Basantgarh today protested against Power Development Department (PDD).
The protesting villager said that Basantgarh area is in dark since January 1 after 250 KVA transformer got damaged while more areas slipped into darkness following heavy rains and snowfall.
They alleged that despite repeated pleas, the PDD failed to repair the damaged transformer with the new none with the result that entire areas is without electricity for the last ten days.
The protest demonstration was addressed by Ashok Kumar , Lal Chand, Sanjay Kumar, Mohinder Nath Panch Saif Din and other.
