JAMMU, Nov 30: A 32-year-old individual from north Kashmir’s Baramulla town was found dead under mysterious circumstances near Qasim Nagar Bridge on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway here today.
Some passerby noticed one Sharan Pal Singh son of Prithvi Pal Singh of Tang Mulla, Baramulla lying in an unconscious state near Qasim Nagar Bridge on the Highway and informed police, officials said.
Accordingly, a team from Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu reached the crime scene and shifted him to Government Medical College Jammu, where doctors declared him dead on arrival, they said.
While the body has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting post-mortem examination, police have initiated inquest proceedings to further probe into the matter.
