JAMMU, Mar 17: A delegation of Bar Association Poonch (BAP) led by its president Sunil Sharma today met Chief Justice of J&K and Ladakh, Tashi Rabstan.
The delegation discussed key issues affecting the legal fraternity in Poonch.
The meeting focused on addressing infrastructural and administrative challenges including completion of Bar Room building, construction of Advocates’ Chambers, up-gradation of space for litigants, functioning of canteen and up-scaling of library facilities.
Other present on the occasion were Justice Puneet Gupta, Administrative Judge Poonch, M.K Sharma, Principal Secretary to Chief Justice and Shahzad Azeem, Registrar General, High Court.
The Chief Justice assured the delegation that necessary measures would be taken to ensure the completion of pending works at the earliest.
The delegation comprised Jahangir Khan, BAP vice-president; Tahir Aftab, general secretary and Kafait Qazi, joint secretary.
