Ban liquor sale in Jammu province: Dogra Kranti Dal

JAMMU, Apr 23: Dogra Kranti Dal (DKD) has demanded complete ban on liquor sale in Jammu province.
In a press conference here today Satveer Singh Manhas, DKD Provincial President said, Jammu province should also be declared liquor-free on the pattern of Gujarat and Bihar.
He also said that there is possibility of drug trafficking on the pretext of liquor which will be a big threat for youngsters.
On new liquor policy, Manhas said that now smuggling of drugs will take place while Jammu is already trapped in drug addiction.
He appealed to the people, especially the women and youth, to start agitation in the area wherever an attempt to open liquor shop is made and assured full support by Dogra Kranti Dal will in that.
Manhas reiterated that DKD has always been against drug addiction and in coming days, it will agitate strongly against the same and will also start awareness campaigns in every locality and village of Jammu province.
