JAMMU, Feb 24: Minister for Medical Education, Youth Services & Sports, Taj Mohi-ud-Din today visited the Chopra Nursing Home and took stock of the renovations and face-lifting being carried out for its re opening. The Nursing Home is closed at present.
The Minister directed the engineering wing of the hospital for face lifting, landscaping and internal renovations of the Nursing Home on war footing basis.
During the visit, Mr. Taj also visited the emergency block, OPD and Orthopedic units of the GMC and took on the spot note of the cleanliness, patient management and treatment regime.
At the emergency block, the Minister asked for strict implementation of triage regime, a sorting process used for determining treatment schedule on the basis of sickness of a patient. He also passed strict instructions for not allowing cigarettes and gutkas inside hospital wards and rooms. He also directed the hospital administration to regulate the number of visitors and not allow more than one attendant with a patient and that too with a valid attendant pass only.
Principal, Government Medical College, Jammu, Dr. Aniece Choudhary, Medical Superintendents and other officers accompanied the Minister during the visit.
