RAJOURI, Dec 9: A little panic was created in the border area of Chingus- Chatyar in Rajouri after the locals noticed a balloon with PIA mark and plastic toys attached to it, flying near the Line of Control (LoC) today.
Giving detail, a police spokesman said that the information was received at Police Post Chingus at around 8.30 am in the morning. The local people told that they saw some strange object flying in the sky, which in no time fell on a tree in the forest area on this side of the Line of Control. It apparently came from PoK side.
On this, the police party immediately reached the forest area and took possession of balon and other objects tied to it. It was noticed that the balloon had PIA written on it and some light plastic toys were also tied with it, on which Happy Birthday was written.
Suspecting that the Pakistan Army might send arms or drug consignments through drones in the area, the police immediately launched an intensive search operation in the entire forest area but nothing such thing was found in the vicinity.
A local resident, Rohit Kumar told that the people of the area felt that Pakistan had sent a consignment of arms, ammunition or drugs through drones, due to which panic spread among the people. Although the police did not find anything suspicious during the search, but still people are in panic.
