JAMMU, May 30: Shaheed Bhagat Amarnath Trust has announced that the ‘Balidan Divas’ of Bhagat Amarnath will be on June 1, 2025 at Shaheed Bhagat Amarnath Samark Park, Shalamar.
In a press conference here today Shaheed Bhagat Amarnath Trust chairman, Surinder Bhagat, informed that the programme will begin with Havan at 9 am followed by cultural programmes at 11 am after which special dignitaries will pay homage to Shaheed Bhagat Amarnath, remembering his invaluable sacrifices.
A handout stated that Bhagat Amarnath sacrificed his life fighting for the implementation of reservation benefits to SCs, STs, RsBA, residents of LAC, socially and educationally backward classes, ex-servicemen and physically challenged persons in J&K.
“Due to Article 370, these reservations were not implemented in J&K until 1970. However, after the ultimate sacrifice of Bhagat Amarnath, the people of J&K finally got these rights,” Surinder said urging everyone to participate in the function and pay homage to honour the legacy of the martyr who fought for social justice.
