JAMMU, Nov 4: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Minister, Bali Bhagat today strongly criticized National Conference (NC) president, Dr. Farooq Abdullah for his recent remarks targeting Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, comparing Farooq’s tone to that of Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal.
Addressing a massive public meeting at village Seri Pandita, Block Bhalwal, in support of BJP candidate, Devyani Rana for the upcoming Nagrota Assembly seat election Bali Bhagat said that instead of indulging in baseless criticism, Farooq Abdullah should advise his son, Omar Abdullah, to focus on the people’s welfare and recall how his tenure as Chief Minister was marred by administrative failures and public discontent.
“Those who failed to deliver during their own tenure have no moral right to question the efficient administration being run under LG Manoj Sinha,” he remarked.
The BJP leader lauded the efforts of the present administration in ensuring peace, development, and transparency in Jammu and Kashmir, stating that the people have witnessed unprecedented progress under the current dispensation.
Bhagat also took a strong dig at PDP chief, Mehbooba Mufti for supporting a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) that allegedly favours anti-national elements and terrorists. He said that such moves expose the PDP’s true intentions and its continuous attempts to create unrest in the UT.
“The people of Jammu and Kashmir are no longer interested in politics that sides with anti-national forces,” Bhagat asserted. “They want peace, stability, and progress, not sympathy for terrorists.”
“For decades, NC and Congress misled the people of Jammu and Kashmir with hollow promises and divisive politics. They failed to bring any real development or stability to the region,” he asserted.
Bali Bhagat appealed to the people of Nagrota to reject the politics of opportunism and support the BJP’s vision of a peaceful, prosperous, and self-reliant Jammu and Kashmir. He while seeking vote for Devyani Rana said that her candidature represents youth energy and a strong commitment to the welfare of the people.
