JAMMU, Jan 29: NC MLC and former Chief Secretary, Vijay Bakaya today assured the residents of Amrit Vihar, Upper Barnai that their problems will be solved soon and he will take up all issues raised by them with the concerned authorities.
On the occasion Managing Committee, Amrit Vihar highlighted the problems of the locality and demanded installation of transformer, laying of water pipes, construction of lanes and roads with proper drainage system etc.
Mr Bakaya assured early redressal of the problems.
The meeting also expressed concern for not giving representation to any member of the community in the State Council of Ministers and alleged that the community was totally ignored.
Addressing the meeting Raj Nath Hangloo general secretary of the Committee said that since the Maharaja’s rule Pandits had been occupying important and significant positions in the ruling dispensation. It is totally unfortunate that Pandit community has been totally ignored.
Others who addressed the meting included M K Yogi, A K Raina, Dawinder Singh, B B Pandita and R K Pandita.
