BAISAKHI

Baisakhi is not just a festival.
It is like a huge carnival.
It brings a new commemoration.
It marks the day of huge celebration.
It is the day of huge harvest.
It also marks the end of unrest.
It is the beginning of Sikh New Year.
The celebration happens with all near and dear.
There is the occurrence of many beautiful gatherings.
The sweetness is what everywhere rings.

The Game Of Power and Pride

The game of power and pride,
Where history repeats in disguise.
Devouring hunger and ruthless calls,
Peace looks small to blinded eyes.
The dawn now breaks all sullen and grim,
The sun lost its smile to war and crime .
The night sky feels darker than ever before ,
And the silent stars refuse to shine .
Thrones are built on whispered fears,
Truth drowns in roaring cries.
Shattered dreams in grieving homes,
Blood pays the crown’s price.
In a world stripped bare of humanity,
Where ego breeds and sins suffice.
God seems distant, hope is in vain.
Will a new life ever thrive ?
One day when the dust shall settle ,
Beneath the undivided sky.
We’ll see how little we truly needed ,
In this life before we die.

HOPE

You say, what can hope do?
With hope, a seed can become a banyan.
A grain of sand can slowly transform into the Himalayan mountain.
A single word of wisdom
can become an entire ocean.
A drop for thirsty
can be a life saving notion.
By joining colours
Rainbow can be formed.
Walking on the path of faith
From Siddhartha, A Buddha can be transformed.
In hope,
The Chakor bird gazes at the moon.
If there is a pull of union in the heart,
In water, floats the holy stone.
If love is true, firefly can merge into flame.
If placed in the palace of the mind
even a stone can become adorable RAM.
