JAMMU, Mar 31: Bahu Fort Development Committee in a meeting here today discussed the arrangements for the forthcoming Navratras. The meeting was chaired by the president of the Association, Rajeev Charak.
. Kapil Sharma, Joint Commissioner of Jammu Municipal Corporation ( JMC) was the chief guest on the occasion . Raj Kumar-Divisional Fire Officer, BB Sharma – Officer Floriculture Garden & Parks , Anil Wanchoo – C/O Floriculture Division Bage-e-Bahu, Subash Sharma – Sanitary Officer, TL Thappa – Executive Engineer JMC, Rajinder Kumar – AEEJMC, S.I K.S Chib – Representative CID, Station House Officer – Nur Ahmed & Sub Inspector – Sumit Magotra were the guests of honor. Inspector PP – Gopal Sharma and president Market Association Mata Maha Kali – Vivek Katyal were also present on the occasion.
While addressing , Rajeev Charak discussed the difficulties faced by the pilgrims who visited the holy Shrine and highlighted problems like Sanitary, street lights , sarai, drinking water, parking problem and passenger shed.
He added that it is a general demand of Shopkeepers and visitors of Mata Maha Kali Shrine as well as the local people that the complex be roofed/covered with the fiber sheets so that pilgrims don’t face inconvenience due to lack of shelter during rains and hot Sunny days.
He also demand to construction of a Gate (Darshani Darwaza ) at the main entrance of Mata Maha Kali Shopping Complex for Security purpose, half portion of the steps on the path way to Mata Maha Kali Shrine and at the entrance of Shopping Complex may be turned into ramps for the convenience of handicapped yatris who visit the shrine on the wheel chairs.
He also demanded that the open area of the back side of the shopping complex be fenced as there are heaps of rubbish and garbage giving out bad and foul smell. This will also be feasible from the security point of view.
He urged the authorities to look into these issues and take early steps to solve them so that the yatris don’t face any inconvenience during Navratras.
