JAMMU, Aug 10: Bahadur Lal Dalotra was elected as president of Saryara Sabha while Manohar Lal was elected as general secretary.
The elections for both the posts were held last night at Bahu Fort, Jammu. For the post of president, four candidates— Bahadur Lal Dalotra, Suresh Kumar Dalotra, Pawan Kumar Chalotra and Kirti Chand, were in fray. Bahadur Lal Dalotra was polled highest 1174 votes and was declared new president of the Sabha.
For the post of general secretary, only two candidates namely Surinder Kumar and Manohar Lal were in fray. Manohar Lal got 1016 votes while Surinder polled 947 votes. Thus, Manohar Lal was declared elected as general secretary of the Sabha.
