NEW DELHI, Sept 7: Bachpan and AHPS Groups, New Delhi, organized `Samvaad’- an interaction for discussion on the current trends and requirements in education.
Former cricket Sandeep Patil, who was chief guest on the occasion, felicitated forty educationists and the academicians.
Samvaad is an interaction of the best, foremost and experienced intellectuals and academicians of the society who discuss, share and opine their views on the given topic. This year’s topic of Samvaad was `How to teach social and emotional skills to students at school’.
Besides the chief guest, many Principals of schools, Directors of various educational institutions and professors at Delhi University spoke on the topic and gave their valuable advice.
In his address, cricketer Sandeep Patil enunciated the importance of the teaching community to the society and towards nation building. He further shared his opinion on the importance of achieving goals. He was of the view that in order to accomplish higher goals, it was essential to set smaller targets. Connecting his personal life experiences as a coach, he said that to achieve a target of hundred runs, he would motivate his team to score 10 runs repeatedly for 10 times thus, making the target achievable.
Sandeep Patil stressed that the society must continue to honour teachers so that they are motivated to do more towards shaping the young minds positively, in order to give to the nation talented, patriotic and successful individuals.
Ajay Gupta, the Group CEO, summarized the view points expressed by the guest speakers and reiterated his commitment to work towards the implementation of teaching social and emotional skills at schools.
The event concluded with the honouring and awarding of the academicians by S K Gupta, Chairman Bachpan and AHPS. He informed that the Bachpan and AHPS schools have grown to a strong number of 1000 + Bachpan playschools and 100 + AHPS formal schools. Most of the operational AHPS schools have already been given affiliation by CBSE, he added.
