BAKU, March 13: Azerbaijan exports military equipment to nearly 20 countries, while its defense and security spending grew by 23% to $4.7 billion last year, Prime Minister Ali Asadov said.
“Azerbaijan exports military products to nearly 20 countries. In 2025, budget expenditures on defense and national security increased by 23%. Ensuring the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and national security is one of the main priorities of our state policy. To this end, defense and national security expenditures from the state budget in 2025 were 8.1 billion manats,” Asadov told the parliament while speaking on the government’s activities in 2025.
In 2024, Azerbaijan’s defense and national security spending totaled 6.6 billion manats, the prime minister added. (UNI)
