Azad, Soni, others participate in AICC Covid Task Force meet

SRINAGAR, June 3: All India Congress Committee (AICC) COVID Task Force yesterday organised virtual meeting with PCC presidents and CLP leaders in different States an UTs and discussing, threadbare the current COVID crisis in the country.
AICC COVID Task Force headed by former LOP and Chairman of the Committee Ghulam Nabi Azad, senior Party leaders Ambika Soni, KC Venugopal, Priyanka Gandhi, Pawan Kumar Bansal, Jairam Ramesh held a virtual meeting with J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president Ghulam Ahmad Mir on the current COVID situation and other issues concerning people in J&K. In the meeting, many other issues of public importance also came under discussion.
JKPCC president briefed the Task Force about the relief measures being undertaken by the JKPCC to ensure help to COVID patients in hospitals and other needy people, who were badly hit due to the surge in COVID cases.
Mir told the Task Force that there was need to ensure free mass vaccination of all age groups in a timebound manner in J&K to avoid further loss of precious lives, besides other  immediate relief measures should be taken by the Govt to ensure respite to common people, who were equally confronted with economic crisis which has hit them badly due to lock down in view of the super-spreading of the virus. He informed that matter in this regard, has been taken up with the LG’s Administration in J&K at higher level.
