JAMMU, July 8: J&K Ayurvedic Doctors Association (JKADA) has warned the Government to come on roads if their demands are not redressed at the earliest.
Addressing a press conference, president, JKADA Dr Amit Gupta said that the casual approach of the Government towards unemployed Ayurvedic doctors has forced them to come on streets to get their legitimate demands redressed.
He said that the Government has done nothing to save the future of unemployed Ayurvedic doctors, adding that no policy has been framed by the Government for their complete absorption.
Dr Sharma further stated that the most of the dispensaries are lying vacant without doctors and the patients are suffering for the treatment but Government is not taking any initiative.
“The Ayurvedic doctors are roaming here and there despite having high degrees and qualification and are feeling ignored by the Government”, he added.
He demanded complete absorption of the unemployed Ayurvedic doctors, recruitment of Ayurvedic doctors on yearly basis, separate Directorate for Ayurvedic, stipend for Ayurvedic interns and opening of Government Ayurvedic College.
Dr Varun Padha along with other core members of the Association appealed to the Chief Minister and Health Minister for one time absorption policy for unemployed doctors.
They warned the Government to come on roads if their demands are not redressed at the earliest.
