JAMMU, Oct 3: Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions, Purkhoo camp, organised Awareness Programme on Civil Defence, in which students and teaching staff participated actively.
On the occasion, Gh Sarwar Chouhan, SSP, Commandant SDRF 2nd Battalion, was the chief guest, who while speaking, highlighted the role of Civil Defence during natural calamities and man-made disasters.
Dushyant Sharma, Deputy Controller, Civil Defence, also highlighted the role of Civil Defence during emergences.
Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Vice Chairman, Jamwal Group of Education Institution, Prof KG Gupta, Principal IECS, Prof KR Sharma, Principal, North Polytechnic College and Engineer Ajay Jamwal, Head of Training and Placement also attended the function.
Vice Chairman in his speech assured to conduct such programmes in the future for the awareness of the students and the staff members.
Among others present were R Vijay Magotra, Deputy Divisional Warden, HC(DI) Ram Chand, CD Instructor, HC Ashok Kumar, CD Instructor and Sg Ct Rajesh Bhan, CD Instructor.
