JAMMU, Aug 31: SOS Hermann Gmeiner School organized awareness programme on nutrition and health for school children.
The programme was conducted by Dr Archana Bhat, PhD Research Scholar under the guidance of Prof Rajni Dhingra, Dean Faculty of Science Department of Home Science, University of Jammu.
Students of class XI and XII were counseled on many health related issues which proved to be an eye opener.
Dr Archana said nowadays students and mostly adolescents deal with great pressure related to their personal lives, to cope up with, they neglect their health.
Dr Rajesh, Senior Consultant Physiotherapist was invited for lecture on physical activity.
Before wrapping up, a questionnaire was held in which Dr Archana asked students questions related to some health facts and students were awarded for their performance.
In the end, RK Dhar, Principal of the school presented vote of thanks.
