SRINAGAR, Mar 11: Sanjay Kumar, Chief Patron of Jammu Kashmir Nationalist People’s Front (JKNPF) stated today that awareness is the key to combat the menace of rising drug addiction in Kashmir Valley.
He said that his party is actively engaged in the fight against drug addiction in the Valley.
“Our volunteers are reaching out to the local people to raise awareness about the devastating consequences of addiction for individuals, families, and communities. The interplay of corruption, violence, and addiction is particularly severe in the Valley, with the opioid crisis affecting many young people,” Sanjay Kumar said in a statement.
He said that drug addiction is a serious problem with devastating consequences, and we need to come together to fight this menace collectively.
Party President Shiekh Muzafar highlighted the success of the walkathons held in different districts.
“The walkathons saw enthusiastic participation by the locals, who shared their challenges and experiences. This positive step towards overcoming the addiction problem is encouraging,” he said.
Meanwhile, the JKNPF has pledged to continue its fight against addiction in the Valley through its various programs and initiatives.
