RAJOURI, Dec 1: A massive public rally was organized in Nowshera township of Rajouri district on the occasion of filing of nomination papers by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate and State president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Ravinder Raina today.
First of its kind in the history of Nowshera, the rally was led by BJYM national president and MP, Anurag Thakur who along with other senior BJP leaders-State vice president advocate Vibodh Gupta, State Spokesperson advocate Sunil Sethi, Parbhari Nowshera Chander Mohan Gupta, BJYM leader Parmoksh Seth, reached Nowshera today to accompany Ravinder Raina up to the Tehsil office for filing of his papers.
Addressing the rally, which assembled near Bus Stand Nowshera, Anurag Thakur lambasted both National Conference (NC) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for their anti national slogans such as ‘autonomy’ and ‘self-rule’ respectively which according to him are great threats to the national integration.
He appealed the people of the Nowshera-Sunderbani Constituency not to fall prey to these regional parties which are ‘hand in glove’ with Congress Party and whose policies were inimical to national interests in the State.
He also said that the State Government headed by Chief Minister (CM), Omar Abdullah has failed on all fronts in providing basic amenities like food, water, electricity, etc and instead solving peoples problems he remained busy on Twitter.
He also compared the two hilly states J&K and Himachal Pradesh in terms of development and asserted that both the States have tough terrain but the State Governments here has totally failed to provide electricity for 24 hours.
He appealed to the people of the constituency to bring a change in the area by electing a young and dynamic leader like Ravinder Raina to install a BJP Government by pressing the button of ‘Lotus’a on December, 20.
In his address, Advocate Vibodh Gupta also attacked PDP for misleading the innocent and nationalistic people of the constituency which according to him are the worst sufferers of the cross-border firing from the Pakistan side.
Vibodh said that instead of talking about the failure of the development issues initiated by the PDP during their tenure, the party leadership is dividing people on the base of caste and creed which is a great threat to the peaceful atmosphere in the area.
In his appeal to the people for strengthening the hands of BJP in the ongoing elections, Advocate Sunil Sethi said that BJP is the only party which can settle the issues of all the refugees living in the State.
BJP candidate Ravinder Raina in his address promised that he will leave no stone unturned to mitigate the sufferings of the people in the constituency.
