JAMMU, Nov 2: Police in Jhajjar Kotli area here today claimed they have seized an auto loaded with illegal Khair wood from Domail area.
During routine patrolling in Domail area under the jurisdiction of Police Station Jhajjar Kotli, an auto (JK20C-8739) was found transporting Khair wood without permission, a police official said.
According to him, the vehicle was seized on-the-spot.
Accordingly, the Range Officer of the Forest Department was informed for taking necessary action under the provisions of the Forest Act, the police official added.
He further said the seized Khair wood and the auto were also handed over to the Forest Department for further legal proceedings.
