JAMMU, Jun 26: The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Tral has ordered an immediate ban on bathing in Lam Nallah, a key drinking water source for residents of Aripal tehsil, following reports of contamination.
The directive comes after local complaints and a report from the Jal Shakti Department indicating that bathing and other activities have polluted the stream, leading to a rise in jaundice cases, especially among children.
