JAMMU, July 2: Jammu Private Schools and ETT Institutes Association (Progressive) has expressed its serious concern over delay in holding meeting of Government’s Affiliation & Recognition Committee for Private Schools.
“Hundreds of private schools’ files related to grant in extension of affiliation and recognition are pending before the J&K Board of School Education, for approval and need an early clearance from the State committee,” observed the Association in a press statement, issued here today.
The Association alleged that the concerned authorities were intentionally adopting delaying tactics to harass the private schools while the Minister was also maintaining a silence and double standard over the same.
“The Directorate of School Education Jammu is taking months together in issuing approval, which is otherwise a job of merely one- week. On one hand, loud claims are being made for e-governance and maximum public involvement in Government departments whereas ground realities are entirely different,” the Association alleged.
The Association has appealed the School Education Minister to create a coordination culture for a speedy and credible outcome and said that unwanted barriers should not be raised in growth of private schools.
