Bora handed over a cheque of Rs 5 lakh to Shah’s family as financial assistance from the Assam Government.
Speaking to reporters after the visit, Bora said “Our Chief Minister sent us here. Jammu and Kashmir is truly the paradise on earth. On April 22, a Pakistan-sponsored terror strike killed 26 people, which is unfortunate. Our Prime Minister gave a befitting reply,” he said.
He added that the Assam Government has decided to provide Rs 5 lakh to the families of each victim of the attack. “That is why we gave Rs 5 lakh to the wife of Adil Hussain Shah. Everyone was present here, including the district magistrate. We express our heartfelt condolences to the family,” he said.
Bora said they had hoped to meet the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, but he was out of station. He also noted that the terror attack had been widely condemned around the world, and there was strong support for the Narendra Modi Government’s response. “We are all one, and we have to work together to fight terrorism,” he added.
