JAMMU, May 14: To assess the situation in areas of Shahpur, Qasba recently affected by shelling Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Poonch Mohan Lal Sharma accompanied by Incharge PP Bandchechyan Venktash Sharma today conducted an extensive visit to Shahpur and adjoining areas.
During the visit, the ASP Poonch took stock of the ground realities, interacted with the local population and assured them of the police department’s commitment to their safety and well-being.
He also reviewed the security arrangements in the area and instructed the concerned officers to remain vigilant and responsive to any emerging situation. He also supervised the sanitization exercise of unexploded shells in the area.
The ASP reiterated that the Jammu & Kashmir Police stands firmly with the residents and will continue to extend all possible support to maintain peace and order.
